Payop, an international payment service provider, has teamed up with Dragonpay to streamline digital transactions in the Philippines. The partnership aims to cater to both cash-reliant consumers and the growing segment of tech-savvy users adopting e-wallets and online banking.

Despite 94% of Filipinos still preferring cash, digital payment adoption is rising—64% now use e-wallets, while 52% opt for online card payments. Last year saw 33.85 million digital payment users, with e-commerce dominating at 99.5% penetration. This shift reflects improving digital infrastructure and changing consumer habits.

The collaboration underscores a strategic MOVE to capture Southeast Asia's evolving payments landscape, where hybrid solutions bridge traditional and modern financial behaviors.
